Taking a Break

I have decided to take a break from doing this Challenge for a while.

Since I started only a handful of people have completed the tasks (and for that I thank you), life has become rather hectic and I am finding I am rushing the examples and not doing the best that I can.

So until further notice this will be my last post.

Task Nine - Birds

The task for this fortnight is Birds.

Here is a little poem about our Feathered friends:

Birds
I think that I have never heard
A poem lovely as a bird,
Who nestles in cathedral spires
And ornaments our telephone wires,
Who perches high in trees to watch
And spends the day in twittering klatsch.
Cheerful all the livelong day,
They tell us good news in their way;
Reminding us that love is free,
As close to angels what we see.
Poems by me are quite absurd,
But only God can make a bird.

I apologise for this fortnights task being 2 days late. I am in the process of moving house and have been extremely busy the last couple of days.

This fortnights task is "Home".

For this fortnight I have chosen the theme of Vintage.

Instead of doing an example this time I thought I'd give you a Vintage Freebie.

This is a scan of a photo I picked up recently at an antique store (Click on phototo see full size image).

Task Six - Favourite Holiday

The task for this fortnight is your "Favourite Holiday". It can be your favourite holiday destination or your favourite Public Holiday.

Task Five - Butterflies

I happen to think butterflies are one of the most interesting & beautiful creatures ever born, so therefore I have decided that this is the challenge for this fortnight.

Task Four - Metallic

This fortnights Challenge is Metallic.

The only requirement being it must contain something made of metal or metal based so for example you could use metallic paint, embossing powders, metal embellishments, eyelets & staples.
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

My example:
Tag with Moo

The Moo is painted gold and has gold embossing powder sprinkled on it as well as a dragonfly brad. The tag is edged in gold embossing powder & has gold ribbon attached.

Task Three - Favourite Colour

For this task I have chosen "Favourite Colour". Can't wait to see what creations you come up with.

I have decided start the year off with a new Challenge site to showcase a variety of Mixed Media Art, Card Making & Scrapbooking. This will be a Fortnightly challenge, therefore I will post a new task for you to complete every second Tuesday and I can’t wait to see what wonderful work you come up with :).
